Resize your images in seconds
Resizing helps an image fit a form, load faster or match the exact dimensions a social network asks for. You can work in three ways: by dimensions (width and height in pixels), by percentage (for example 50%) or with a preset size for Instagram, Stories, YouTube, Facebook, X or WhatsApp. Nothing is uploaded: it is processed on your device.
Aspect ratio, fit and crop
- Keep aspect ratio: enter just the width and the height is calculated for you, so the image is never distorted.
- Fit inside: the whole image fits the chosen size, with no cropping.
- Fill and crop: the image fills the whole canvas and is cropped from the center — ideal for covers and banners.
Scaling down to the right size
When shrinking, the tool scales in steps to keep the image sharp. After resizing you can cut the weight further with Compress Images, or switch format with Image Converter. Keep in mind that enlarging a small image does not add detail: it's better to start from the highest resolution you have.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I resize without distorting the image?
Keep “Keep aspect ratio” on and enter just the width or the height; the other value is calculated automatically.
What size does Instagram need?
For a square post, 1080×1080 px; for portrait, 1080×1350 px; for Stories and Reels, 1080×1920 px. You'll find them in the “Social media sizes” tab.
Will I lose quality when shrinking?
Shrinking reduces resolution, but done properly it doesn't reduce sharpness. If you also pick JPG or WebP, set quality to 85–90% to keep detail.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. The same settings are applied to all of them and you can download everything as a ZIP.
