How to put different letters on Discord
Discord uses a normal font, but you can paste styled Unicode characters (cursive, bold, gothic, bubble…) into your name, server nickname or messages. Type above, pick the style you like most and copy it with one tap.
Where can I use them?
In your username, in each server nickname, in channel and category names, and in messages. Keep in mind Discord applies markdown in messages (for example, asterisks make bold), but these Unicode letters stay the same because they don't depend on Discord's formatting.
Tips
- For the server name, combine a style with symbols from our symbols tool.
- Don't overuse it in long text: it looks best in names and titles.
- Some very ornate styles (like glitch) can be hard to read; use them sparingly.
