Cursive text imitates handwriting with a pen: joined strokes, looping capitals and an elegant feel that works as well in an Instagram bio as on a wedding invite. Type above and get 𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 instantly.
Why we use bold script
The letters come from Unicode's Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. The generator uses the bold script alphabet because it is the only cursive set with all 52 letters. The thin script (𝒶𝒷𝒸) has gaps: capitals such as ℬ, ℰ, ℱ, ℋ, ℐ, ℒ, ℳ and ℛ were added earlier in another block, so they often look mismatched.
Where cursive looks best
- Instagram and TikTok bios: one short phrase adds a personal touch.
- Beauty, bakery, wedding or photography brands: it signals care and detail.
- Tattoo previews: test a name before taking the idea to your artist.
Keep it short. Long cursive passages are hard to read, and screen readers may spell them letter by letter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't numbers turn cursive?
Unicode has no cursive digits, so the generator leaves numbers as they are.
What's the difference between cursive and italic?
Cursive imitates handwriting with joined strokes; italic is regular print text slanted to the right.
Does cursive work in my Instagram name?
Yes, in the Name field and bio. Your @username only accepts basic letters, numbers, periods and underscores.
